The closing concert of the Festival will feature two masterpieces of French Impressionism. Framing works by Ravel and Debussy will be music of the present day: From the Wreckage by Mark-Anthony Turnage in its world premiere, and Correspondances by Henri Dutilleux in its first performance in Finland.

From the Wreckage was commissioned jointly by the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Proms and the Gothenborg Symphony Orchestra.
